PHA with City of Portland Public Health Division, Northern Lights Mercy Hospital, Greater Portland Health, Catholic Charities, Maine Immigrant Rights Coalition, and Maine Center for Disease Control will be providing Covid-19 nose swab testing to all Sagamore Village Residents on Wednesday July 15 from 4 to 7 PM. We ask that you try to follow the schedule listed below to reduce the number of people in tine at any one time.
In order to practice social distancing while waiting to be tested, the following schedule is being implemented:
- Brighton Avenue, Cabot Street, and Popham Street - 4 to 4:30 PM
- Taft Avenue - 4:30 to 5 PM
- Josslyn Street - 5 to 5:30 PM
- Purchas Street - 5:30 to 6 PM
- Godfrey and Gorges Streets - 6 to 6:30 PM
- Anyone unable to attend their scheduled time slot - 6:30 to 7 PM
Four testing stations will be set up outside in the neighborhood for residents of all ages to be tested for active infection. Please note that this is not an antibody test and will not tell you if you already had COVID-19. Results will be given directly to you by Northern Light Mercy Hospital and not the Portland Housing Authority or any other partner without your explicit written consent.
Interpreters will be available in person and if follow up is needed. Resources and support will be available to residents and their families who need to quarantine. You do not need to have health insurance to be tested at this event. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing while waiting to get tested. Masks will be provided to anyone who is waiting to be tested and does not have one.
