The Portland Housing Authority has drafted its 2019 Annual Agency Plan and Capital Fund Program for the period beginning July 1, 2019. The public review and comment period for the Annual Plan begins on February 11, 2019 and will end on March 28, 2019 with a public hearing at 5:30 PM at the Portland Housing Authority, 14 Baxter Blvd, Portland, Maine.
During this period, the draft Plan and Capital Program are available for review and comment at the PHA’s administrative offices located at 14 Baxter Blvd, and its Property Management Offices at: 2 Riverton Dr, 21 Popham St, 211 Cumberland Av, 284 Danforth St, 577 Washington Av, and 81 East Oxford St, in Portland.
Draft is also available at the Division of Housing and Neighborhood Services, in Portland City Hall, 389 Congress St, Rm 312.
The major components of the draft annual plan and capital fund program include:
- Public Housing Program, revisions to administrative policies
- Rental Assistance Demonstration Plan
- Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Programs, revisions to administrative policies
- Capital Fund Program, expenditure of $2.2 million for capital improvements
The Authority’s hours of operation are M-F, 9 AM-4 PM (closed noon to 1 PM).
