ELIGIBILITY

  1. Applicants must be residents of Public Housing / HCV Section 8 / Low Income / Subsidized Housing.
  2. Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or currently attending an accredited institution of high education.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  1. Verification of acceptance at a specific school (college acceptance letter).
  2. Essay of approximately 200 words – applicant choice of topic.
  3. Optional: Letters of recommendation.
  4. Agency Authorization must be signed or confirmed thru email correspondence by the Executive Director or his/her designee, certifying applicant’s status with the Agency.

SCHOLARSHIP

  1. One $2000 scholarship. 

SELECTION PROCEDURE              

  1. Application submitted to Scholarship Committee by Monday April 18, 2022
  2. Must be electronic submissions to ggagnonbha@maine.rr.com
  3. Screening, evaluation and selection conducted by Committee.
  4. Applications that are incomplete may be disqualified.
  5. Scholarship award decision to be made prior to May 18, 2022.
